WriterDamon

I am a native of Atlanta, Georgia. In the last fourteen months I've composed a novel, ten short stories, a solid pitch for a non-fiction proposal (that as it turned out was already published by another writer) and many review and lifestyle pieces for both local and national publications such as Spinmag.com, Citysearch, Paste and False magazines. I am passionate about sustainability and have been certified as a green consultant with the Green Business League.

  • Working to green up dad

After meeting with my father and working through some small but energy efficient changes my father’s company has been awarded the silver level green assessment. It’s been a lot of fun to work on a project with pops and I’m hoping we can get him up to the gold level by years end.

    Here’s his press release:

  • Oh the Irony-Is GREEN the worst color for the environment?

I brought this subject up with a good friend last week. He asked what I was thinking of naming my consulting business. I told him that I’m staying away from any “green” word in the title-I figure it’s been used enough and there was bound to be some sort of repercussions-BAM-I found it.

  • A zero-emissions book tour...

First editions are 100% green, recycled, and super-post-consumer. The interiors are 100% recycled paper. The covers are made of seed paper that, upon being buried, will germinate and grow into spruce trees. Then there is the tour … by bike. James begins his book tour July 1st, in which he will bike up the west coast, stopping in 23 cities to give readings, talks, and plant the book. If everything goes as planned, his tour will end with him riding from LA to Vancouver and then on to New York, where he will appear on the Colbert Report.
