I am a native of Atlanta, Georgia. In the last fourteen months I've composed a novel, ten short stories, a solid pitch for a non-fiction proposal (that as it turned out was already published by another writer) and many review and lifestyle pieces for both local and national publications such as Spinmag.com, Citysearch, Paste and False magazines. I am passionate about sustainability and have been certified as a green consultant with the Green Business League.

  • Yesterday was one of those days that helps you reaffirm why you love a particular place. For me it’s where I’m at now, Atlanta.

I woke up and went to checkout a scooter that I’d like to purchase to save a bit of money on gas. Then I ventured to to my dad’s, ate a bento box, and took the intial steps to get his display company on the road to being “green” certified.

Later that day I arrived at the Wren’s Nest to help kickoff the new mentoring program I’m participating in (think storycorp but with 10-12 years olds learning to express themselves through writing). We sat in the garden, had a beer and got to know the program-I couldn’t be more excited about helping out.

That night, I had dinner with friends and finished the night by nabbing tickets to an amazing show, Javelin and Yeasayer. Thanks Atlanta-it was great-lets do it again soon.
